Remember the time when Mahira Khan starred opposite Shahrukh Khan in ‘Raees’ but we didn’t get to see her in any sort of promotion at all. Something similar is what we’re observing these days. Though not on such a grand scale as Mahira Khan being excluded from ‘Raees’ promotions or the animosity between India and Pakistan that led to this happening, but something on similar grounds. The point of discussion here being, Mohsin Abbas Haider missing from the promotions of his latest drama ‘Baddua’ on ARY Digital.
We recently noticed how the cast of ‘Baddua’ everyone, including the leads Muneeb Butt and Amar khan were seen promoting the drama on various platforms, online and television as well. But what intrigued us was the absence of Mohsin Abbas Haider. Now, no matter what, an actor, when he has performed in a project, deserves to be a part of its promotions and Mohsin’s absence was certainly felt by his fans.
What Do We Think?
Now, there is absolutely no denying the fact that actors have always been a part of their project’s promotions, no matter how small their role might be. We can take the example of Amar Khan in ‘Qayamat’. Although Amar’s track in ‘Qayamat’ was short lived, she was seen promoting the drama everywhere and was even seen in the posters as well. But Mohsin Abbas Haider is completely missing from ‘Baddua’. Although Mohsin has shared a few pictures and videos on his social media, but that’s that.
Perhaps it could have something to do with the controversies Mohsin has been involved in the past. Because that’s the only fathomable reason we could think of. There is absolutely no denying the fact that Mohsin Abbas Haider is an exceptional performer and he has work to prove it, so the only possible reason we can think of is Mohsin’s involvement in cases of domestic violence that were filed against him by his ex-wife in the past. There had been a lot of hue and cry about the case when it first arose with the fraternity being divided supporting and against Mohsin.
But one wonders, if that was the case, why work with controversial figure in the first place.

Galaxy Lollywood reached out to Abdullah Seja of iDream Entertainment, the force behind ‘Baddua’ and here’s what he had to say.
“Its a guest appearance and not a full-fledged role. We didn’t want to reveal much about what he is doing and for how long he will be in the play. Hopefully, your question will be answered by the next episode,” shared Abdullah.
So, if that’s the case, lets wait and see the next episode of ‘Baddua’ to get our answers. But one thing remains the same. No matter how short lived a character or even a guest appearance, if it’s vital to the project, the actor should have been included in the promotions.
