Yes, it is that time of the year when Pakistan’s media fraternity gets together to celebrate the best in film, fashion, television and music. The Lux Style Awards, or Luxies as they called, took place last night in Karachi to celebrate the best of the year 2014 and the night was surely a memorable affair . Yes, we admit its a bit late to be awarding people on their work from last year, but well this is the only platform we have got where the awarding body is not linked with one specific television channel, so we will let it pass.
The event was surely a filmy affair as it saw lots of performances from our Lollywood stars. Here is a detailed recap of everything Lollywood related that happened at this event.

Ayesha Omar performed to ‘Tutti Frutti’
Urwa Hocane danced to ‘Darbadar’ and had a minor accident on stage.
Amna Ilyas burned the floor with ‘Kala Doriya’
Ahmed Ali Butt danced to ‘Yeh Jawani Phir Nahi Ani’
Meera, Resham and Sabeeka Imam performed alongside Ali Zafar to his song ‘Rockstar’
Resham and Momar Rana danced to the classic ‘Janu Sun Zara’
Noor performed on the hit song ‘Dil Diyan Lagiyan’
Muneeb Butt danced to ‘Tere Mast Mast Do Nain’
Resham, Meera, Sabeeka performed alongside ‘Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’
Moreover the event wouldnt have been half as interesting had Yasir Hussain not done his comedy acts. He was without doubt the highlight of the event and he made sure that people laughed like crazy whenever he made an appearance. He took digs at almost everyone and has given award ceremony humor a new benchmark. Way to go man!
Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan were the hosts for the night. Though they share a chemistry and rapport that would put many so called jodi’s to shame, their hosting skills weren’t that great . There were a lot of goof ups, which will obviously be edited from the final telecasting, but anyhow seeing them in one frame was surely a delight and fans will definitely rejoice when they see the ceremony on air.
